India bound Mercedes GLS Class Displayed at 2015 LA Auto Show

Mercedes GLS Class SUV that is due for launch in India in near future, has been revealed recently at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show. This model is going to be the successor of GL Class and can be considered as a facelift version of the latter. This vehicle will be introduced as the top range offering in the lineup and will bear a considerable amount of resemblance to the current GL Class. The automaker is planning to launch this upcoming car opposite the popular Range Rover Series, which is yet another luxury brand that offers classy yet powerful SUVs.

Owing to the S branding, the GLS has got a stronger body line and it boasts of a newly designed front as well as rear portions. The front end features an all new grille, LED headlamps and the rear is comparatively sleeker than the GL Class. It gets 21-inch AMG alloys that are totally new while the sides remain unaltered. Mercedes will roll out this four wheeler in two variants namely- GLS450 and GLS550. The former one will be powered by a 4.7 litre, V8 engine, whereas the latter will be fitted with a 3 litre, V6 motor.

Moving inside, you get to see an improved and larger infotainment system accompanied by an intuitive touch pad and an 8-inch Media display. It is also equipped with a Remote Online Service that provides vehicle information regarding windows & doors status, tire pressures, mileage and other diagnostic data. Apart from this, changes have been made to the upholstery, but the overall ambiance reflects the same kind of feel similar to the current version.
