Mercedes Benz is one of those automakers that never rest and are continually striving to mark their presence in the market. Whether globally or in domestic market, the company is constantly coming up with amazing offerings consisting of a wide range of body styles. The AMG GT S and Mercedes A Class facelift in India have been launched a while ago and now some more cars are being revealed for the international markets. The recent one among them is Mercedes SLC, which happens to be a facelift of the famous SLK roadster. Bookings will commence from mid-January 2016, globally.
Describing the features of the upcoming coupe, it will carry a lot of tweaked elements right from the front end to the rear end. The diamond grille is guarded by a pair of stylish headlights that are incorporated with LED DRLs. Moving to the side, there are 16-inch alloys, fender vents and prominent wheel arches. The rear portion sports restyled bumpers, dual exhaust pipes and revised tail light cluster. Moreover, the electrically operated roof functions when the top speed reaches to 40km/h.

Moving inside, the interior boasts of Nappa leather upholstery on the seats that has a sun reflecting feature along with contrast stitching pattern. Further, the flat bottomed multi-functional steering wheel also gets covered in leather and there are aluminium & carbon fibre accents at certain portions. The instrument cluster gets a 4.5 inch TFT display between the two dials and there is also a 7 inch COMMAND infotainment system that is compatible with all the necessary connectivity options like Bluetooth, USB and DVD.

Mechanically, there are both diesel and engine motors available as per the trims with varying outputs. The petrol category consists of a 1.6 litre and a 2 litre unit, whereas the diesel variants are powered by a 2.2 litre engine. Except the 4 trims in the lineup, there is an additional variant named AMG SLC 43 which is fitted with a 3 litre twin turbo V6 engine making 362Bhp/520Nm of maximum output. It can sprint upto 80mph in just 4.6 seconds while the top speed is limited to 155mph. Transmission is managed by a 6-speed manual unit in the base variants and by 9-G Tronic facility.
