Those who don’t know, the current generation model has been around in the market for more than 4 years now, and it has finally got some new updates. However, it is expected to be based on the same Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy just like the regular one, but there are also some new tweaks for both inside and out.

On the mechanical front, it has come up with large hexagonal five-slat grille, much sleek projector headlamps integrated with LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, 16-inch alloy wheels, and shark fin antenna. The automaker has designed this unit with an overall length of 4570 mm along with a width of 1800 mm and a height of 1470 mm as well as a wheelbase of 2700 mm.

Inside the cabin, you will find a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a satellite navigation facility, cruise control, automatic climate control, start stop button and rain sensing wipers.

As far as the powertrain is concerned, we believe that the 2016 Hyundai Elantra will get the same 1.6-litre CDRi diesel engine as of its predecessor that is tuned to fire out a power of 134 Bhp along with a torque of 306 Nm. Hopefully, there would be a more powerful engine of 2.0 -litre four cylinder petrol unit, which is good for 147 Bhp of power and 183 Nm of torque.
