The one of the most preferable luxury car manufacturing brand, Mercedes has launched its locally produced C220 CDI in India. Built at the company's Pune facility, this sedan has been emerged out in two variants, such as C220 CDI Style trim and C220 CDI Avantgarde around the price of INR 37.90 Lac and 39.90 Lac, respectively. There is not any kind of doubt regarding its exterior as Mercedes is egregious in making magnificent looking vehicles that are always enough to enchant anyone at a glance and the same thing goes for this newly launched runabout.
The Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes India, Eberhard Kern said, “With the local production of the new C 220 CDI and in tune with its 'Make in India' commitment, Mercedes-Benz India has now an increased localization content of 60% in this car. We are confident that with the production of the new C 220 CDI in India, we will be able to create a higher benchmark in terms of local production of high-end luxury cars in India, and make our customers equally delighted by providing an unmatched value. Additionally we have launched the 'Corporate Star Lease' product, a dedicated leasing solution from Mercedes Financial Services that will bring immense value for our potential corporate customer.”
Beneath the skin, it is powered by a 2.2 litre four cylinder diesel engine to churn out power of 170 bhp and torque of 400 Nm. Ahead of achieving a top speed of 233 km/h, the Mercedes C220 CDI can be accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in only 7.4 seconds. Moreover, this runabout renders an impressive fuel efficiency of 19.27 km/l.
