Indian Roadmaster Classic Launched in India, Priced at Rs 41.17 lakh

Indian Motorcycles has quietly introduced the Roadmaster Classic in India. The motorcycle landed on the Indian ground with an expensive price sticker of Rs 41.17 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). Altogether, the bookings for the motorcycle has also been started at a non-refundable token amount of Rs 5 lakh. Mechanically, the Roadmaster Classic will get power from a 1,811cc 'Thunder-Stroke' V-twin engine. This air-cooled motor is said to deliver 135Nm of peak torque at 2,100rpm. Built on the same Indian Chieftain platform, this hefty looking Roadmaster Classic scales 392 kg at the dry weight.



The Roadmaster Classic is not only an alluring motorcycle in terms of looks but also in equipped features. The features which have been provided as standard fitment comprising cruise control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, heated seats and grips, keyless ignition and adjustable floorboards with LED lights. The advance safety of ABS is also being offered as a standard feature. While, the premium features on the Roadmaster Classic include an Indian's 'Rider Command' infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen display, which offers the facilities such as radio, USB, Bluetooth, navigation and also showcases all the riding relevant data.



Other than this, this modern tech offering from the auto major also comes blessed with the desert tan leather seats and saddlebags. The provided leather saddlebags and the top box have a total storage capacity of 122 liters, altogether, the rider can also detach them when not needed. The offered storage capacity is little less than the standard Roadmaster, with 142 kgs.

In India, the Indian Roadmaster Classic will be available in all three colours of thunder black, willow green over ivory cream and red over ivory cream, all the way through the CBU channel. It will cost around Rs 51.65 lakh on-road in Mumbai and the deliveries for the motorcycle will take place after two and a half months of booking.
