Isuzu India brought D-MAX and D-Max space cabs for multipurpose jobs

Isuzu is a famous brand for manufacturing tough and robust diesel engines and vehicles. Today, the Japanese hero added two siblings in their vehicle range which are designed for commercial purpose. The pick up vehicles were launched in Mumbai where company also announced the opening ceremony of the dealer's outlet for Maharashtra region.

The vehicles announced are categorized to serve different purposes. The D-Max is a pick up or loading vehicle which is designed for rough and tough driving atmosphere. The D-Max Space is conferred with extra 1.5 feet cabin space with air conditioning and power steering features. It is designed for the owner's driving. The D-Max Space has a rich look compared to D-Max.

The engines powering these vehicle with 2.5 Liter Diesel units which will produce 294 Nm of Torque along with 134 BHP of power. The transmission is manual with 5 stages gear shift. Both the pick ups will follow BS4 emission norms. It is likely to be priced Rs. 5.99 lakhs (ex showroom Mumbai) for the base D-Max variant. The D- Max Space Cab Flat Deck will be made available for Rs. 6.19 lakhs (ex showroom Mumbai). The top variant Isuzu D-Max Space Cab Arched Deck will arrive at Rs. 7.09 lakhs (ex showroom Mumbai).

Isuzu D-Max will be competing with Mahindra Genio and Tata Xenon. The company was serving only one vehicle from past few years i.e. Isuzu MU-7. With the introduction the new D-Max, company aims to target the business categories of India as they have estimated to see a sales of 8,00,000 commercial vehicles per year by 2016. Initially company will assemble the outsourced vehicle parts in India and later, they will be putting up a manufacturing plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. By the end of this month, Isuzu will see another two dealerships in Delhi and Vishakapatnam.
