Isuzu Motors Ltd has been gearing up to introduce its MU-7 again in India in automatic variant in order to acquire the noteworthy appreciations from the customers. Just like its manual version, this upcoming automatic car will also be imported to the country via CKD route and the kits will go for assembly at Tiruvallur plant of HMFCL (Hindustan Motor Finance Corps).
Power will come from the same 3.0 litre four cylinder intercooled engine as the ongoing manual trim, but this time the mill will be mated to an automatic transmission provoking the car to produce an impressive power of 163 PS at 3,600 rpm and an appreciable torque of 360 Nm between 1,800 rpm to 2,800 rpm.
This most awaited model will continue to be offered in the existing rear-wheel drive configuration. Coming to the safety and other equipments, it will get dual front airbags, (ABS) Anti-lock Braking System, reverse camera, 2-DIN touchscreen audio system with DVD, Bluetooth, leather covered steering wheel as well as gear knob, leather seats and 16 inch alloy wheels.
Its current manual variant is available at the Indian shores in three color options, such as White, Black and Silver. The manufacturer had launched the MU-7 SUV in December, 2013 in two versions with the name BS-3 and BS-4 around the price of INR 22 Lac and 22.3 Lac, respectively. The automatic model is presumed to be priced 1 Lac higher than its predecessor.
