The British carmaker, Jaguar has introduced its flagship model, the F-Type SVR in Indian lineup. It has two variants- the coupe and the convertible one. The automaker tagged the models with the price tags, INR 2.48 crore and INR 2.62 crore (ex-showroom India) respectively. Globally, the SVR is already a renowned vehicle for its outstanding looks, excellent performance. But the India-bound SVR is a notch higher with improved styling, better equipment and more power. The beauty is crafted by Jaguar\'s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division, which as per the brand is the most powerful F-Type model from them since now.
Beneath the aerodynamic front end, the new Jaguar F-Type SVR is packed with the same 5-litre, supercharged V8 petrol engine of the regular F-Type. But it has been refined to develop the improved power of 567bhp along with the peak twisting torque of 700Nm. The power transmission duties will be handled by a mated 8-speed automatic transmission.
At the performance front, the new SVR completes 0-100kmph sprint in just 3.7 seconds and attains the top speed of 322kmph. Whereas, its convertible model besides same sprint completion in the same amount of time, is limited to the top speed of 314kmph. Other than this, all wheel drive with torque vectoring system is also on offer on the F-Type SVR.
At exterior along with the sharp silhouette, the Jaguar F-Type SVR boasts revised LED headlights and tail lights, 20-inch alloy wheels finished in satin grey treatment and titanium exhaust. The car also gets an amount of carbon fibre work in components such as the rear spoiler, diffuser and front bumper. Moreover, the tweaked suspension setup and Pirelli P Zero tyres offer better handling and grip to the new SVR.
The cabin of the car has also been revised with the premium interiors that encompasses bespoke SVR seats, aluminum paddle shifters and SVR branding on the upholstery with contrast stitching.
As the company claims, the new F-Type SPR gets numerous aerodynamic enhancement that not only manages air flow but also improves stability. The features include a front splitter, wide spoiler, and rear diffuser. The wide and more elevated wings endow reduced drag coefficient up to 2.5 percent while the lift coefficient reduced by 15 percent.
