The British car manufacturer Jaguar has launched the two new premium cars, named the XE and XF, in India. Both vehicles feature the company’s own Ingenium petrol engine. The Jaguar XE has been launched with the starting price of Rs 35.99 lakh while the basic petrol variant of the XF will cost Rs 49.80 lakh in the country.
Both cars have the new Ingenium 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine, designed and developed by the company’s own engineers. The Ingenium engine is available in two variants. The base variant is capable of developing 147 KW (200 PS) power at 4,500-6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 320 Nm at 1,500-4,000 rpm. The advanced engine produces up to 184 KW (250 PS) power at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 365 Nm at 1,500 rpm. Both engines are coupled with an 8-speed AT unit that sends power to the read wheels for the speed.
The low-priced Jaguar XE comes in two variants - Pure Petrol and Portfolio. The XE Pure petrol has the base Ingenium engine with 147 KW power capacity. The XE Portfolio is integrated with the advanced Ingenium engine that produces 184 KW power.
The Jaguar XF doesn\'t have an entry-level Pure variant. It is available in two petrol variants - the Prestige and Portfolio. The Prestige variant of the Jaguar XF uses the 147 KW engine, while the Portfolio vehicle is equipped with the 184 KW version.
The cars are also available in diesel versions.
As for the price, the Jaguar XE Petrol Pure will cost you Rs 35.99 lakh, the Prestige version costs Rs 39.95 lakh, and the Portfolio version is available for Rs 44.46 lakh. The Jaguar XE Diesel Pure will cost Rs 36.75 lakh, the Diesel Prestige version costs Rs 40.68 lakh, and the Diesel Portfolio version is available for Rs 44.86 lakh.
The Jaguar XF Petrol Prestige costs Rs 49.80 lakh, and the Petrol Portfolio is available for Rs 58.93 lakh. The Jaguar XF Diesel Pure will cost Rs 46.60 lakh, the Diesel Prestige costs Rs 51.71 lakh, and the Diesel Portfolio is available for Rs 59.49 lakh.
