The 2016 Jaguar XE sedan was spotted recently in India without any camouflage. Even though, the saloon had been revealed internationally, this is the first time for the car to be spotted on Indian roads. The XE is slated to make its appearance at the much awaited Delhi Auto Expo 2016, alongside the 2nd generation XF and the all new F-Pace. After launch, it will be competing with the likes of Audi A4, BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C Class. The bookings have already commenced at company outlets in India and deliveries will kick off from Februray, 2016.

The salooon is based on all-aluminium chassis, which has been utilised for the first time in this segment. It's weighs lighter as compared to the previous version and is fitted with numerous equipments, making use of modern technology, including a 10.2-inch dual view touchscreen facility and JLR's InControl Touch Pro multimedia system. Mechanically, it will be available with a 2 litre motor that is likely to be offered in both diesel and petrol guises. Transmission will be handled by an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The upcoming F-Pace is also being awaited eagerly in the country that might arrive by the second half of the ongoing year. It will also be loaded with some amazing features like touchscreen infotainment, instrument cluster with HD display, LED units for the headlamps and tail lamps, alloy wheels, etc. Though, the luxury segment of Indian automobile market is dominated by Mercedes, BMW and Audi; one can't ignore the fact that Jaguar is also emerging as a rising star.
