The next generation Jaguar XF has been unwrapped ahead of showcasing at the upcoming 2015 New York Motor Show, which will be commenced from April 1. This model is likely to be introduced in the Indian Shores along with the new XE next year. Start talking about its visual perspective, it could be said as the maximized version of XE alongside a 51 mm longer wheelbase, while 7 mm shorter in height as compared to the predecessor.
Its revealed images are showing that the runabout gets aggressive front fascia with stunning grill flanked by arrogant bumpers comprising full LED headlights. Inside, the forthcoming Jaguar XF will receive an optional 12.3 inch TFT instrument cluster and an 825 watt Meridian surround sound system including 17 speakers. However, the regular variant would reckon the InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with 10.2 inch touchscreen, which will run on a quad core processor.
Coming to the powertrains that will come from the XE inspired 2.0 litre Ingenium diesel engine to produce 163 hp of power and 380 Nm of torque on the base variant, while on its higher trim, it would churn out the power of 180 hp and torque of 430 Nm. On the other hand, a 3.0 litre V6 twin turbocharged diesel engine will be capable to make 300 hp and 700 Nm outputs.
Moreover, a 3.0 litre V6 supercharged petrol engine would create the outputs of 380 hp and 450 Nm. All these mills will be mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and the 2.0 litre engine option is also probably to be available with 6-speed manual transmission.
