The British car maker Jaguar Land Rover is known to produce the uber luxury cars with best-in-class technology gadgets equipped with them. Recently, at the Paris and LA Motor Show the company also revealed its special division F-Type and low-priced XF cars with its mind-blowing Urban Virtual Screen technology too. Now, another Jaguar model is under testing for a facelift and has been spotted on roads. The model is Jaguar XJ and is expected to get some mild changes overall that is exteriors, interiors and engine. The facelift mule which has been spotted on the roads, revealed most of the changes as it has no camouflage on it. The company will also improve its range topping Jaguar XJR as well.
The test mule had the changes on the on headlights which were covered by black tape, front bumper, modified grille and tweaked air intakes as well. The Jaguar XJR is also supposed to get these changes. Talking about the engine, the XJR is currently powered by a 5.0 Litre supercharged V8 engine that churns out 550 hp power and 680 Nm torque that surpass the power and torque output of Jaguar XJ Sports version by 40 hp and 55 Nm respectively.
The upgraded car will also get the enhanced 8-Speed ZF gearbox which will take it from 0-100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds with the electronically limited top speed of 280 km/h. The company has plans to launch this facelifted Jaguar XJR in the upcoming year of 2015, so stay tuned with us for the more information about the car.
