Kawasaki Ninja 250 that had discontinued from the Indian two-wheeler market, has now been launched in Indonesia with 2019 Model Year updates. The company is offering three variants of the 2019 Ninja 250 including Ninja 250 SE (with MDP or Magnetic Design Painting), Ninja 250 ABS SE and Ninja 250 ABS MDP SE. While the pricing for the respective variants stands at 67,800,000 (Rs 3.32 lakh), Rp. 75,000,000 (Rs 3.67 lakh), and Rp. 75,500,000 (Rs 3.7 lakh). The introduction of KIPASS (Kawasaki Intelligent Proximity Activation Start System) is one of the major highlights on this updated Kawasaki Z250.
There are many colour choices for the 2019 Ninja 250 based on offered variants. The SE variant is available to purchase only in the lime green shade while the MDP SE variant of the motorcycle is on offer in passion red and ebony/ metallic magnetic dark gray. For your information, MDP is a special painting technique that uses magnets and offers a 3D effect for the Ninja lettering on the fairing. Also, the protection for paintwork on the MDP variant is provided with the help of equipped frame sliders.

The Kawasaki Ninja 250 with KIPASS was announced for Indonesian market late last year and has now been launched with 2019 Calendar year updates. In KIPASS equipped motorcycle, the rider has to keep the key nearer to a portable immobilizer to bring the bike to life.
With the provided master key one can remotely control the main switch and the steering lock. Not only is it convenient but also reduces the fear of thwarting theft and vandalism. Other Kawasaki Motorcycle models such as the Kawasaki 1400GTR / Concours sports tourer 14 also availed with a similar system.
With this smart key/Kipass feature there is no need for key insertion into the ignition key. The key fob’s remote functionality make certain that the remote is turned on or not, and that’s how the engine can be started.

To unlock the steering and bring the engine into life, the key fob is necessary so the fear of bike getting theft will be far away until the key fob got theft. Also, it helps in finding the parked bike. Other than controlling steering lock and engine start the key fob comes with the keys to open the fuel tank cover and lift the rear seat.
In terms of power, the new 2019 Ninja 250 gets a 250cc parallel-twin engine. In association with a 6-speed gearbox transmission, the mill is rated to develop 39PS Of power and 23.5Nm of peak torque. The suspension setup on the bike comprises of telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock at the rear. Tips at 164kgs on weighing scale, the bike has a ground clearance of 145mm.
