European markets are now embellished with the upgraded Kawasaki Z1000 R Edition. The Japanese auto firm has unveiled the bike with a chunk of cosmetic and technological enhancements. The street-fighter is now more solid and performance-oriented.
Kawasaki has also included Ohlins rear suspension and Brembo brakes apart from the essential upgradation of making the tourer Euro-IV compliant. The fully adjustable Ohlins S46DR1S rear monoshock with the Showa Big Piston forks at the front ameliorate the handling. On the other hand, the Brembo M50 monobloc calipers having stainless steel braided lines ensures better deceleration of the bike. Not only this, what’s more in this cosmo-tech package is the revised ECU, which delivers a smoother power curve and instrument cluster having gear position indicator and programmable shift light.
On the cosmetic front, the Z1000 R Edition has been embossed with fine decals different from the bike’s color and making it perfectly rejuvenating from the older version. The 1043cc inline engine passes on the power of 142BHP with 111NM of torque. Though it is the same unit, but a euro-compliant one now.
To be available in three different colors, namely, Black, Green, and Orange, the new comer will be put on a display at the Motorcycle Live in the UK this November. The bike will head towards India in mid-2017, however, only in the signature green paint scheme of Kawasaki. The Suzuki GSX-S1000, Honda CB1000R, the Triumph Speed Triple, and the Benelli TNT R will be the prominent rivals of the Kawasaki Z1000 R.
