KTM 390 Mini Adventure Spotted Testing Once Again

The upcoming KTM 390 Adventure has been spied once again and this time British motorcycle website MCN, has surfaced the set of spy images of test prototype performing test runs. Before this event, the mini-adventure based on the KTM Duke 390 has also been captured a few weeks ago

From the images, the spied test mule was not being resembling as a market ready product, means it still have a lot of chances to evolve since its launch in the near future. Featuring wise, the prototype seems to carry the similar aluminium fuel tank witnessed in the last spied images of the test model. However, it is expected to offer more fuel capacity than the ongoing KTM 390 Duke model. The propelling work will be under the consideration of a same 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine unit of the KTM 390 Duke. The said engine is capable in making out 43bhp power and 35Nm torque, but these power figures are likely to upgrade via tuning process to exhale more to run on the rough and uneven terrains.

The WP front fork suspension and a 19-inch wire spoked wheels, indicates the the bike is meant to be a limited off-road tourer rather than a fully focused road-oriented machine. Whereas the front end in the spy images showcases the use of carbon fibre attributes, but these are less probable to be a part of the production model. The rear end is embellished with a new beefier swingarm and an offset monoshock.

The new mini-adv from the KTM is likely to make its debut as a 2018 model. Whereas, it will be unveiled globally at the 2017 EICMA Motorcycle Show. On the battle ground, it will compete against the likes of the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the upcoming BMW G 310 GS, in India. As the bike is in evolving phase and going through the road testings, so we can’t say anything about its pricing in the global market. As speculated, if it manages to fall in the range of Rs 2.5-2.75, it certainly will be turned out a winner in the segment.
