KTM Duke 250 in its 2019 model year version will be packed with a dual-channel ABS system. As per the sources, it has learnt that the 250 Duke ABS will hit the Indian market in January 2019. FYI, the 390 Duke will also be equipped with a dual-channel ABS as standard fitment. While the models like the 200 Duke and the KTM 125 Duke has already got the single-channel ABS unit. It makes us believe that the RC 200 is also in the queue to get updated with this essential safety net. Well, it will sport a single-channel ABS only.

The dual-channel ABS equipped 250 Duke will be premium by amount around INR 10,000 to INR 13,000 over the no-ABS 250 Duke, priced at INR 1.81 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Other than the ABS introduction, the motorcycle would not get any sorts of cosmetics or mechanical changes. Beneath the fuel tank, the 249cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine will generate the maximum power of 30PS and the peak torque of 24Nm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. Based on a steel trellis frame, the 250 Duke ABS will suspend over the USD forks up front and a monoshock suspension at the rear. The braking setup will comprise a 300mm disc up front and a 230mm disc at the rear. The integration of a dual-channel ABS will convey an improved braking performance. KTM 250 Duke does not see a direct competitor though in the similar pricing bikes with dual channel ABS, the Honda CBR 250R ABS and the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X ABS competes with the motorcycle.
