2019 KTM RC 125 ABS Officially Launched; Priced at INR 1.47 lakh

KTM RC 125, an entry level fully faired motorcycle from Austrian bike maker. Besides being manufactured in India from the years, the motorcycle never went on sale in our country. The reasons behind are the motorcycle meant exclusively for the export markets and it was not in demand in the Indian market. But the introduction of KTM Duke 125  has changed the scenario completely with amazing customer response. And the manufacturer decided to launch the entry-level 125cc version of its faired range of RC bikes as well.

Ultimately, the KTM RC 125 Bike has launched in the country and it carries a price sticker of INR 1.47 lakhs which makes its most affordable full fairing motorcycle on sale from KTM. The pre-bookings for the motorcycle has been commenced at KTM dealership at a token amount of INR 5,000. While the deliveries against bookings are expected to start at the end of June month.

It carries Moto GP genes from its sibling, the much celebrated RC16.”

In terms of equipment, the RC 125 uses shared components from its bigger brothers such as the RC 200 and the RC 390. It gets dual projector headlamps, clip-on handlebars, rear view mirrors, split seats and a reworked exhaust system. The KTM RC 125 is based on a steel trellis frame and runs on 17-inch alloy wheels which come wrapped with tyres of measuring the 110/70-R17 front and 150/60-R17 rear.

Available in two new colour options, the KTM RC is powered by a 124cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine. The engine is rated to develop 14.3 bhp of power at 9,250 rpm and transmit 12Nm of peak torque to the rear wheel via a mated 6-speed gearbox.

The suspension duties on the new RC 125 will be handled by the USD fork up front and a monoshock at the rear. While the braking will be under the supervision of 300mm disc in the front and 230 mm disc at the rear. The fitment of single-channel ABS in integration with rear lift mitigation is being offered as standard. The motorcycle weighs 154.2kgs.
