KTM to Start Production of Husqvarna Models by 2017 in India

The Austrian bike maker, KTM entered in our country with the collaboration of Indian giant, Bajaj Auto in 2008. Since that time, the firm has been getting an appreciable love from the Indian enthusiasts. Its fire-blade products the Duke and RC range are booming in the domestic market. By seeing this big success, the KTM has made a plan to produce Husqvarna motorcycles at the Bajaj-KTM plant in Ckakn nearby Pune.

KTM acquired Husqvarna AG from BMW in January 2013 and renamed it as Husqvarna Motorcycles GmbH. The Austrian giant manufactures Husqvarna models for the European market, but now company will also produce Husqvarna products including the Vitpilen and Svartpilen line-up in the nation by 2017.

Talking about the future plan of the KTM, the company opened its 9th band store in Telangana. Unlike the last fiscal year 2014-15, where the manufacturing firm sold 23,000 units, this year the firm has decided to introduce additional 88 dealerships across the country with the aim of selling around 30,000 units in this current financial year.
