KTM is getting ready to make its Brazilian admirers happy by the end of 2014, as the company is planning to make a comeback in Brazil once again. Previously in 2012, KTM had left the Latin American market after the company had ended up the partnership with the Brazilian local distributor; Izzo Group. Now, KTM is planning to re-enter the Latin America's largest two-wheeler market by the end of 2014. And this time, the company will be coordinating with the new partner named Dafra Motors. The Dafra Motors of Brazil have also contributed with other multinational brands, like BMW, Ducati and MV Agusta.
KTM, the Austrian two-wheeler manufacturer, has been owned by Bajaj in India and the manufacturing a unit of the company is located near Pune. According to a report, KTM is planning to introduce 14 models in the Brazilian market. The company will launch these models in a particular episode. In India, the Bajaj is the only manufacturer, producing two of the KTM models, i.e. Duke 200 and Duke 390 in its manufacturing unit. As, the Brazil doesn’t have any CBU's, so the CKD kits for these two models will be imported to the country from the Chakan manufacturing plant of Bajaj, near Pune. The bikes will get assembled in the Dafra Motors plant, which is located in Manaus, Amazonas.
The list of top 14 models which will be going to launch in the month of December, 2014 in Brazil are KTM 1290 Super Duke R, 50SX, 65SX, 1190 Adventure, 1190 Adventure R, including 3 models of Enduro bikes, 2 models of Super Sports bikes (RC 390 and 1190 RC8 R) and some more models from the same range bikes. The KTM Duke 200 and Duke 390 will be expected to get launched by the upcoming year, 2015.
