Lamborghini fans give a high-five! The younger and powerful sister of Aventador has joined the Indian line-up.
Where we stop thinking about making a more powerful version of Aventador, for Lamborghini, it’s just the beginning! In the race of manufacturing track-focused sports car in the production world, the German carmaker has proved itself once again.
The Lamborghini Aventador S has been launched in India at a whopping price of INR 5.01 Crore. Simply, it is the facelift version of its elder sibling, Aventador with revamped front and rear bumper and holds a more powerful heart under the hood.
This is the second launch of this year by the carmaker in the country followed by the Huracan RWD Spyder in the first week of February.
Someone framed it correctly, "Money can’t buy you the happiness, though it’s better to cry in Lamborghini.”
So, Does the new Lamborghini Aventador S justify its highly expensive price tag for the Indian market? Let’s take a complete inside-out tour of the new sports beast:
What’s she hiding under the hood?
The Lamborghini Aventador S is powered by the same naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine that also powers the standard model, with some additional tweaks. Mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, the engine is now generating 740 hp against the 700 hp from the old one, and a peak torque of 690 Nm.
The additional bump in power makes it one of the quickest machines on four wheels available for sale across the world. It rockets from a standstill to 100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds and capable of hitting a maximum speed of up to 350 kmph.
What’s new on the looks?
In terms of design and styling, the new Aventador S gets a more aggressive profile and muscular lines. As we mentioned earlier, it gets new front and rear bumper along with a new centre design and revamped air intakes. The updates have also been made to the car’s front splitter and diffuser, in order to increase the downforce which is now produced 130 percent more than before.
At the rear, apart from the new bumper, a newly designed three-piped exhaust system is also a noteworthy update. Other changes include Pirelli P Zero tyres and LED headlamps.
Inside the Cabin?
As you step inside, you will feel no differences at all. No such changes have been made to the cabin instead of a new digital instrument cluster. Rest of the cabin continues to get the jet-fighter inspired cockpit with the flippy tab that holds the engine start-stop button.
What’s the Biggest update?
Though it’s not the increased power, it is four-wheel steer that is said to be the biggest addition to the Lamborghini Aventador S. The rear wheels of the car turn within 0.005 seconds (5 milliseconds) of input in the same or the opposite direction while the front wheels depend on the speed.
Well, does that all worthy for the every single penny you pay for the Lamborghini Aventador S. Let us know your thoughts on it, the comment box is eagerly waiting!
