Lamborghini has finally launched its new convertible sports car named, the Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder in the Indian market, at a price tag of Rs 3.89 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Huracan Spyder shall be sold along with its siblings such as the Huracan coupe and the Lamborghini Aventador. The blue Huracan Spyder looks simply magnificent and fast.
The Huracan is said to be the successor of the Lamborghini Gallardo, which has been nominated as one of the best selling car of the decade. Around 14,022 units of Lamborghini Gallardo has been sold in a decade. However, the Spyder is the 3rd variant of the Huracan series, which will be now available in Indian dealerships. Presently, Lamborghini India offers Huracan Coupe LP 610-4 (all-wheel drive) and LP580-2 (rear-wheel drive) guise.
Under the hood, the Huracan Spyder comes powered by a 5.2-litre V10 howler that is capable of producing out 610PS of maximum power and 560Nm of peak torque. This is quite effective to sprint the Spyder from 0-100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, just like a rocket. It is claimed to offer a top speed of up to 324km/h. Additionally, Huracan Spyder LP 610-4 gets a hydraulically operated soft-top, which can be further lowered in 17 seconds at a speed of up to 50kmph. The car gets the improved superior aerodynamics with the dual fins that rise from the rear seats. On the other hand, the interiors offers ultimate luxury options along with optimum comfort level.
Due to the fabric roof on the top, the convertible looks like the coupe model. The top can be eliminated in just 17 seconds of time. The updated fins are located at right places, maintaining proper airflow across the heavy rear-mounted V10 610 PS engine. The car has been showcased in Mumbai. Most importantly, Lamborghini India has also unveiled its new facility in Mumbai, which will cater both sales and service in the region.
