Reportedly, it has been found that the iconic Italian scooter brand Lambretta is working on a new electric scooter that is likely to unveil later this year. Furthermore, the company had celebrated its 70th-anniversary last year with an anniversary V-Special model. Besides, this underdevelopment electric scooter that will be a 400cc displacement vehicle, as reports suggest, will follow brand\'s three V Special models V50, V125 and V200. These V-Special models will launch in Australia later this year. Whereas, the 400cc scooter in 2019.
For your reminisce, these Lambretta V Special models are also designed by the Austrian design firm KISKA, which had designed new KTM bikes and the Husqvarna Svartpilen and Vitpilen.
In terms of styling, the V Special models will continue to feature the Lambretta’s retro styling with the modern touches. The major highlights of the scooter will include the steel body, fixed front fender and iconic badging along with aluminium highlights and LED lights.
Currently, the Lambretta V-Special scooters are available in three options of a 50cc, 125cc and 200cc. While the Lambretta GP and SX classic scooters are lined up for launch in later future.
The Lambretta V Special models come featured with components such as a tail lamp, turn indicators, 220mm front disc brake, 12-volt charging point and telescopic front forks. While the top end 200cc variant gets the blessing of the advanced safety feature of Bosch ABS.

In India, Lambretta has had a history of assembling its scooters between the 1950s and 1990s. The Automobile Products of India (API) started manufacturing first scooters in India that is further handled by Scooters India Limited (SIL). But due to the financial crisis, the company got disappeared from the global market.
