Land Rover 2018 Discovery Sport launched With New Features

The new 2018 Discovery Sport by Land Rover launched in India. With the addition of new features, this upgraded entry-level SUV gets some more options.

You can judge the change in the 2018 Land Rover Discovery Sport with the addition of Wi-Fi Hotspot and Pro Services. These additions take the InControl Apps feature. The Wi-Fi Hotspot service utilizes a customer SIM to render a 4G hotspot with the connectivity options of 8 devices.

Moreover, many other services are also added under ‘InControl - Pro Services’ to increase the vehicle’s infotainment functionalities which include Commute Mode, Sharing ETA, Route Planner App, and many other characteristics which is part of these services.

The user can download a route planner App as well from the Google Play Store and the Apple Store. This renders syncs routes with vehicle’s navigation system and piloting services. The commute mode feature takes understanding from a regular route and shows diversifications in case of delay on this route. Furthermore, it has an ETA feature as well to share updates with their phone list contact about the nominal time of coming on the way and inform them through SMS.

The latest version is available with the engine option of only a 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine and the petrol option is not available anymore. It is good that there are only two variants, the one is in the Pure, HSE, and SE trims generating a maximum power of 150bhp and a peak torque of 382 Nm. Another variant which is in HSE luxury grade produces a maximum power of 180bhp and a peak torque of 430 Nm. Both the engine mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox, whereas a four-wheel drive system works as a standard in both.

The heir of Discovery Sport, the 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport was sold with HSE seven-seater diesel, SE five-seater diesel, Pure five-seater diesel, HSE Luxury five-seater diesel and HSE seven-seater petrol variants. Currently, 2018 Land Rover Discovery Sport is available with SE seven-seater diesel which is priced at Rs 48.67 lakhs, Pure five-seater diesel available at Rs 42.48 lakhs, HSE Luxury seven-seater diesel available at Rs 57.46 lakhs and HSE seven-seater diesel at Rs 52.31 lakhs in New Delhi.
