Land Rover Discovery Sport to be Powered by Ingenium Diesel Mill

The latest Land Rover Discovery Sport has been officially proclaimed to be machined with a new Ingenium diesel mill range. This upcoming SUV will replace the existing diesel unit with a 2 litre Ingenium oil burner engine. First time, the manufacturer had introduced its luxury SUV last year in the International markets with the replacement of the Freelander 2 and now, it has promised to fit a new powertrain in order to perform noteworthy renovation in the current one.

This vehicle will be available for ordering in Europe and South Korea from next month, while its Indian launch is anticipated to take place later this year. Land Rover will locally assemble the new Discovery Sport via CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route at its Pune facility. Notably, this forthcoming model would produce two tunes of powerful outputs, such as 150 bhp and 180 bhp, respectively. AS the vehicle renders a bulky aspect for everyone comprising gigantic body structure, while it will be light in weight with stiff cylinder blocks and decoupled injectors to manage the vibration and noise intrusion.

The 150 bhp making variant will receive a blue 'Sport' badge and 18 inch wheels including low rolling resistance tyres. Performance wise, its another 180 bhp spec version can be accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.9 seconds ahead of hitting a top speed of 188 km/h.
