Mahindra KUV100 NXT Facelift Launched at INR 4.39 Lakh

Mahindra which is a renowned Indian multinational car manufacturer has launched 2018 facelift model of its KUV100 hatchback in India. The price for this mid-cycle updated model starts from INR 4.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and goes all the way upto INR 7.33 lakh for the top-spec K8 diesel variant. The facelift model is more muscular, more premium with the newly added features. In addition to that, the updated model also gets a host of mechanical changes.

Apparently, the KUV’s exterior now feature restyled front and rear bumpers that have increased the length of hatchback. The front bumper has a relatively wider breathing air dam. While, the new grille gets design element, there are faux skid plates on the front and the back, new dual-barrel headlamps, black cladding at the bottom and new inserts for the headlamps and clear lens for the tail-lamps and much more on the latest KUV. The top end variants of the same are embellished with 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the Mahindra KUV100 NXT gets carried forward all-black interior introduced earlier this year. Whilst, a 7-inch infotainment system is the new addition that is being offered with the T10 top of the line Mahindra TUV300 variant. Other than this, there are remote lock/unlock for the tailgate, power folding wing mirrors, rear parking sensors, a new multi-info display readouts for gearshift alert, drive modes and fuel economy. The features list is incomplete without automatic climate control, steering-mounted controls, driver’s seat height adjust, a cooled glovebox and mood lighting.

Under the hood, the KUV100 NXT is powered by the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol and diesel engines of the outgoing model. Mated to the same standard 5-speed manual transmission, the engine trim churns out the maximum power of 82hp and 76hp respectively.

The suspension setup now with a longer travel of 150mm at front and 200mm at rear will provide improved ride quality. With the alteration in the suspension setup, the approach and departure angle of the KUV100 NXT has also been improved to 20deg and 29deg, respectively.

In the segment, the Mahindra KUV100NXT will compete the rivals such as the Hyundai i20 Active, Maruti Ignis, Toyota Etios Cross and Honda’s WR-V.
