The much awaited micro SUV of the year, Mahindra KUV100 is here with its TV commercial, which has been aired recently featuring the young and energetic actor Varun Dhawan. The actor who was recently seen in the flick Dilwale, has been apparently chosen as the brand Ambassador for the all new KUV100. The bookings have already started and the launched is slated to take place on January 15, 2016. There was a lot of hullabaloo regarding the official name of this vehicle until December 18, when the company finally disclosed the tag KUV100.

The commercial shows just a glimpse of the car, yet most of the exterior details can be observed clearly in the video. Features like the distinctive grille, LED DRLs, grey body kit, muscular stance and high ground clearance are some highlighting factors. With this offering, the automaker is aiming to mark its entry into the B-Segment and it will be rivaling with the models like the famous Maruti Swift and the upcoming Tata Zica.

Mechanically, there will be both diesel and petrol categories in the powertrain lineup including the all new mFalcon family consisting of 1.2 litre, 3-cylinder units. The maximum output generated amounts to 82Bhp/114Nm for the petrol and 77Bhp/190Nm for the diesel mill. This output is transferred to the wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox along with an optional AMT facility. Safety features include ABS as a standard arrangement, while airbags will be found as an optional fitment throughout its range.
