The much-awaited eight-seater avatar of the Mahindra Marazzo M8 has finally been launched. The increased passenger space makes the top-spec variant dearer by Rs 8,000 when compared to its seven-seater sibling. Reportedly, the eight-seat Marazzo M8 will carry an economical price tag of Rs 13.98 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). The MPV has so far recorded 10,000 bookings post-launch.
Under the hood, the new top-spec eight seat variant will carry the same 123hp, 1.5-liter diesel engine that powers its other siblings. Transmission duties will rest on a 6-speed manual transmission. Marazzo lovers will have to wait until 2020 to lay their hands on an AMT equipped petrol variant of the eight-seater.
Key features on the M8 include a reverse parking camera, cruise control, automatic climate control, power adjustable and folding wing mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels, daytime running lamps (DRL) and leatherette seats. Entertainment needs will be taken care of by a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The cherry on top of the cake has definitely been the recently conferred four-star Global NCAP rating for the MPV.

Its immediate on road rivals will include the likes of seven-seat-only Maruti Suzuki Ertiga (Rs 7.44-10.90 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi). Marazoo, however, should remain unperturbed following the public response to its earlier offerings in the Marazzo product line i.e the M6 and seven-seater M8. Other than this, the prices for its MPV product line is expected to shoot by Rs 30,000-40,000 in upcoming months.
