Mahindra has finally launched its new compact SUV Nuvosport, priced amid the range of INR 7.35 Lakhs to INR 9.76 Lakhs. Based on the company's third generation platform or you can say latest generation Scorpio Chassis, it has been offered with 6 different variants, in which N4, N6, N8 are the main and the N4+, N6 AMT and N8 AMT are additional. With all these, the vehicle is also available in six different colors namely, Molten Red, Rust Orange, Regal Blue, Diamond White, Mist Silver and Fiery Black.
All the trims will be powered by the same diesel engine that is based on mHawk platform. It is a 1493 cc turbocharger motor that also comes with two different mode options i.e. Economy and Power, to perform at different driving conditions. These modes are not accessible in the AMT version. Having these, the unit is capable to generate a maximum power of 100 Bhp at 3,750 rpm and peak torque of 240 Nm in a range between 1,600 to 2,800 rpm.
To perform transmission duty, four variants – N4, N4+, N6 and N8 are available with a 5-speed manual, while the rest of models carry an AMT option as a standard attachment. The higher variants are also amazed with all the safety features including dual airbags, ABS with EBD and anti-theft warning.
Dimensionally, it measures 3,985 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, 1,870 mm in height and the wheelbase of 2,760 mm. Also available in 7 seater option that is offered in the form of a 5+2 configuration. Along with these, for the first time, this Indian SUV features a choice for reclining the second row seats. Moreover, all the variants have a boot volume of 412 litre that can be expanded up to 850 litre by folding down the rear seats.

Having all standard features, N4 has been loaded with Bonnet Scoop and Front LED park lamps smoke-effect tail lamps and tailgate mounted spare wheel at the exterior. The interior is furnished with dual tone theme and Vinyl upholstery as well as some regular attachments like mobile charging points in the front row, cup holders and air conditioning with heater. The carmaker has also attached some common safety features like collapsible steering colum, digital immobiliser, side instruction beam and auto door lock while driving. The dual airbags, ABS and EBD are also present as an option.
Mahindra has added dual side airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt with height adjuster and seat belt reminder lamp to this version.
It features with body coloured (bumpers, door handles, ORVMs), steel Rim black painted wheel caps, side body cladding, side and rear footsteps, chrome side turn indicator accents at the exterior. The cabin is furnished by knitted fabric upholstery, 2-DIN Audio System with Audio, USB, AUX connectivity and micro-hybrid technology. Besides, it also gets a Remote Lock & Keyless Entry, Rear Wash & Wipe and some other common comfort features.
As the name implies, the N6 AMT comes with an automatic transmission option along with all the features as the N6.
As the top-end variant, is has been equipped with all the features to make it best-in-class. Despite all the common features, it has also been offered with branded scuff plate and rear sporty spoiler at the exterior, while interior gets sporty aluminium pedal covers, cubic printing on door arm rest, power windows, and chrome accents on AC vents & knobs.
Apart from these above, the carmaker has also featured 6-inch infotainment system with display screen, audio, Bluetooth, USB, AUX, steering Mounted Audio & Cruise Controls, Lumbar Support for both driver and co-driver and driver seat height adjuster.
You will also get the front fog lamps along with all the safety features.
The only major difference between the N8 regular and AMT is an automatic transmission option, rest of the features are same in both the models.
