The Indian multinational company Mahindra and Mahindra has already spotted testing its Quanto AMT that was debuted at the 2014 Auto Expo. The manufacturer has decided to launch this compact MUV in the Indian market in the year of 2015. The runabout is aggressively designed with the sharper headlamps as well as the new grille at the front, which are inspired by the Mahindra Xylo. Recently, the carriage has snapped out during testing alongside the latest color and the ‘autoshift’ badging was wrapped at the front doors. According to the reports, the car is about to incorporate the brand new steering wheel inside the cabin.
The Mahindra Quanto AMT gets a 5 speed transmission system with the advanced Engine Control Unit. It also includes a regenerative braking that will be capable to save around 40 liter of fuel yearly. The runabout is expected to machined with the same powertrains as the previous one and it will be powered by a 1.5 liter three cylinder diesel engine, which kicks out the stunning output of 100 bhp at 3,750 rpm as well as the peak torque of 240 Nm between 1,600 to 2,800 rpm.
The compact MUV would also hold the amazing 5 speed manual transmission system and the company has claimed that the Quanto AMT will consume only 1 liter of fuel to cover the distance of 17.21 km. The vehicle will be arriving in the country in the next year between the approximate price of INR 7.8 Lakhs to INR 8.2 Lakhs.
