Mahindra has made quite an impressive mark at the ongoing Detroit Motor Show. two cars were at showcase from the Indian Automakers Factory. The first was the Marazzo MPV which was developed at its Detroit, Michigan based Mahindra North American Technical Centre (MNATC). The other is the Roxor UV which is aimed at the US market only.
The Marazzo MPV was designed by a joint team comprising of designers from Mahindra’s American and Pininfarina. The Marazzo MPV is in line with global standards. The recent NCAP Test ratings further cement this fact.

The India-bound Mahindra Marazzo carries an all-new 1,497cc, four-cylinder diesel motor borrowed from the mFalcon range of engines. It promises 123 hp power at 300 Nm of torque. Mahindra’s new compact SUV, the XUV300 will also carry the same engine.
The US-only Roxor comes with true off-road capabilities. This 4WD is powered by a 64hp, 2.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Last year, the Roxor also found itself embroiled in a plagiarism controversy when FCA sued Mahindra over the Roxor design and styling. A decision on the lawsuit is awaited for now.
