Mahindra Supro Van, Supro MaxiTruck Launched in India

The famous automaker Mahindra & Mahindra has recently launched two commercial vehicles in the Indian automobile market named as Supro Van and Supro Maxitruck. The former is an MPV, while the latter is a pick up vehicle. Both of these models are based on Supro platform and house a diesel motor under their hoods.

The van has been rolled out in three trims namely T2, T4 and T6 with their retail price ranging from INR 4.25 Lacs to INR 4.75 Lacs. As far as the Maxitruck is concerned, it will also be available in three variants including LX, VX and ZX falling in the price bracket of INR 4.38 Lacs to INR 4.93 Lacs.

Talking about the features, this newly launched pair has got a common list that includes front collision impact absorbing structure, air conditioners, mobile charging facility, dual LSPV brakes, power steering and floor console with bottle holders. The van has the capacity to occupy five to eight adults at a time.

As far as the mechanical configuration is concerned the duo has got a 909 cc, turbocharged direct injection diesel engine that has the ability to pump out 43Bhp of maximum power and a peak torque amounting to 98Nm. Both the models mechanically comply with the BSIII and BSIV norms and can travel to the top speed of 95 km/h.

The fuel efficiency returned by these models stand at 22.4 km/l for the truck and 23.5 km/l for the van. Vehicles available in the market like Tata Ace and Maruti Omni are sure going to get a serious challenge from these two Mahindra offerings.
