The new Mahindra XUV100 is on the threshold of its launch, the most anticipated mini XUV100, codename as Mahindra S101, has been caught several times during the testing with camouflage body. The production-ready version is likely to be made its appearance with a host of dynamic components that will make it best in its class. As of now, the mini SUV has been spotted first time with some interior features that also seen in the new generation XUV500. Moreover, the mini XUV100 will be positioned below the Quanto and TUV 300 model. However, it is expected that the upcoming model would be sold in the country under the KUV100 or XUV100 moniker.
As per the spy shots, the dashboard is incorporated with a three-spoke steering wheel, while the instrument cluster looks very identical to the XUV500. Furthermore, the vehicle is featured with manual transmission, whereas, some reports are suggested that the vehicle will be available in automated manual transmission. The spectacular interior will also benefit with six-seat configuration and also provides the capacity to accommodate three passengers on the front bench seat.
From the technical side, the upcoming mini XUV 100 will be powered from an all-new 1.2-liter petrol and diesel engine compartment. And, the 2WD (two-wheel drive) system will come as standard. Prices are to be concerned, the base variant will be sold in the domestic market at Rs. 4 lakh, while the top model will be tagged for Rs. 6.5 lakh.
The new Mahindra XUV100 will compete with the rivals Maruti Wagon R and Ford EcoSport.
