Mahindra XUV500 AT Launched in Australia; Priced at AUD 31,900

Having considered the customers' choice, Mahindra has officially launched an automatic transmission unit of its XUV500 in the Australian auto market. Moreover, it is also available in two variants that discriminate for their driving facility. Where the front wheel drive W8 trim is priced at AUD 31,900 or INR 15.58 Lakhs and all wheel W8 unit costs AUD 34,900 or INR 17.05 Lakhs.

Mr. Pravin Shah, President and Chief Executive of the Automotive Division of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, said, “At Mahindra, it is our constant endeavour to offer advanced and accessible technologies to our customers. The XUV500 already has many technology firsts to its credit, and now we have further pushed the boundaries with the introduction of the AISIN Automatic Transmission in the XUV500. I am sure that the XUV500 Automatic will be an instant hit with our customers in Australia.”  

There aren't any changes reported yet, it will be featured as the earlier one. Under the hood, it comes with a 2.2-litre engine that is based on the company's latest mHawk technology. With this, the engine is tuned to pump out a power of 150 Bhp at 3,750 rpm and torque of 330 Nm amid the range of 1,600 to 2,800 rpm. From now, both the transmission units will be present with this model. The SUV is also claimed to return a mileage of 13.51 km/l. The Aisin-designed 6-speed AT will be mated to the trim to deliver the power at axles.



Coming to the design, it comes attached with a grille with chrome inserts, fog lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, etc at the exterior. Inside the cabin, it's featured with a 7.0-inch infotainment system, comfort upholstery as well as many regular attachments.

Recently, Mahindra and Mahindra has also been surrounded in the news for its TUV300 new engine option. If the media report is believed to be true, the car is also going to be powered by the 100 PS motor that is sourced by the recently launched NuvoSport. Furthermore, Mahindra had also launched the limited edition of the Scorpio model in the Indian auto market at the starting price of INR 13.07 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).
