Maruti Suzuki has planned to set up its new cars as well as the updated versions of its ongoing models in the Indian car market this year. The Celerio diesel is expected to be rolled out in the country next month, while its production has already been commenced at the Manesar plant of Maruti. Aside from launching this hatchback model with diesel mill option, the carmaker is also preparing to release its SX4 S Cross in May 2015. Spilling the beans about the upcoming Celerio, which gets an identical outlook as the petrol variant.
Beneath the skin, it will be powered by a new 729cc twin cylinder turbo diesel engine to produce an amazing power of 500 bhp. This mill is also likely to be considered in the next generation Wagon R hatchback that would be acquainted either by the end of next year or early 2017. There are rumors that the Maruti Celerio diesel will be the one of the most fuel efficient car in India via adducing 20 km/l fuel efficiency. This runabout would give direct competition to the Chevrolet Beat as well as Ford Figo, and is anticipated to be priced between INR 4.5 Lacs to INR 5.5 Lacs.
Coming to the Maruti Sx4 S-Cross, it is 4,300 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width and 1,575 mm in height. This model will be machined with a 1.6 litre multijet and a 1.3 litre multijet diesel engine to churn out the outputs of 120 bhp, 320 Nm and 90 bhp 200 Nm, respectively. Both of these mills would be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission for driving its wheels.
