Maruti introduced the Ignis in January last year and this is the second hatchback using Nexa premium channel along with gearbox choices and two engines. When we take the example of the Maruti products, considerably hatchbacks, they are selling a good number, whereas Ignis has remained a slow performer for the company and the diesel-powered version making fewer sales.
The Ignis is equipped with latest generation features such as dual-tone interiors, spacious cabin, the unique exterior styling, new SmartPlay infotainment system but the pricing can be the main reason which is affecting the sales of the Ignis.

Further, the unsold stock is available with Rs. 65,000 off.
Dealers across the country also mention that the Ignis diesel production is probably on hold in order to clear the unsold stock.
