Yesterday, Maruti Suzuki took off the cover up from its S Cross while solemnizing the IIFA Awards function in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The manufacturer has commenced the production of this model at its Gurgaon plant and finalized to launch it in India early next month in this ongoing year. On the outside, this vehicle gets a latest dual slat chrome grille, 16 inch alloy wheels and projector headlights with a mind-blowing charm to captivate everyone's heart at a glance.
Its interior will also be enticing and convenient with a touch screen Maruti SmartPlay infotainment system, automatic climate control, rear AC vents and a multifunctional steering wheel. Moreover, the S Cross includes dual airbags, ABD, EBD, keyless entry comprising an engine starter button and steering mounted controls. If the market reports are to be believed, then the vehicle will be machined with a 1.3 litre and a 1.6 litre Multijet diesel engines.
Both are sourced from Fiat, producing outputs of 90 bhp and 120 bhp, respectively. These produced outputs will go to the wheels of this runabout via a 6-speed manual transmission. On the other hand, its petrol variant, including an automatic transmission and AWD system is also likely to be introduced later internationally.
Already Showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo, the Maruti S Cross will be rising as the biggest opponent opponent of the Hyundai Creta, Renault duster, Mahindra Scorpio and Nissan Terrano in the first week of next month as per the market reports. Its price range is expected to be varied from INR 8 Lac to INR 11 Lac.
