Family's favourite ride in India i.e Maruti Suzuki Alto has got its facelift. The exterior visualize to be highly revamped with most of the bits borrowed from recently introduced and highly demanding Celerio. One of the reputed auto experts has encountered the camouflaged vehicle under process for testing. Car looks much better with the peeping out physical changes.
Alto 800 was launched back in the year 2012 for the first time when it took over the all time best seller alto. The 2012 version was a completely fresh vehicle with better mechanicals and designs. It claimed a number of sales in past years with an average sale 23,000 units every month. The upcoming facelift will look even with the visuals seen over the testing vehicle.
The new alto 800 will house newly designed headlamps which may look like the ones on the Celerio. A completely new front bumper with house for Fog lamps is also placed for better looks and better vision. A broad bumper's grill and chrome strip on radiator grill also looks aggressive. ORVM structure resembles to a good extent with the Celerio's.
Under the hood, the same engine may get carried to deliver the same economy which is the main forte of the car. The current car runs on a 796cc, 3 cylinders, 48 BHP Petrol engine generating 63 Nm of Torque with 5 speed transmissions. There are chances that the CNG variant may also continue with the facelifted version. It would a fun to drive car if Maruti thinks of merging a 1 liter K10B engine to this car, but then it may harm the Celerio's market. Once launched, it will compete with Datsun Go, Hyundai EON and Chevrolet Spark.
