Maruti Suzuki Hikes Up to INR 17000 on Its Cars

Nations largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) stated that it has hiked the prices of its models by up to Rs 17,000 to maintain its rising input cost.

In a regulatory filing, it mentioned that the increase will range between Rs 1,700 to Rs 17,000 across all the models pertaining to the increased cost of the commodity, administrative and distribution expenses.

Maruti Suzuki India sells a range of models including hatchback Alto 800 to the premium crossover S-Cross cars which ranges between Rs 2.45 lakh and Rs 11.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The company already mentioned this in the last month that it will make a price hike from this month.

Tata Motors has already increased prices of its vehicles by up to Rs 25,000 from January 1.

Various automakers including, Hyundai Motor India, Honda Cars, Mahindra & Mahindra have already announced to hike the prices from this month.

These companies are still under discussion and yet to announce a price increase for their respective vehicles.
