There have been the rumors surrounding for quite some time over the launch of the facelift version of small hatchback Maruti Suzuki Alto K10. Now, the company demoed this new version at an event in the Chandigarh without making much noise about it. This facelifted has received both, cosmetic and mechanical makeover along with the Alto 800 based body structure. It'll get new headlights, bumpers and taillights as exterior makeover and dual tone color them inside the cabin with possible changes in the instrument and center console. And, the important mechanical change of the car will be in its transmission system.
The other mechanical terms of the car will be same, that is 1.0 Litre 3-Cylinder K-Series engine which is able to produce a maximum of 67 bhp power and 90 Nm of torque. But, the current K10 come with 5-speed manual transmission and this new version of the same car will come with the automated manual transmission system option as well, making it another affordable automatic car in the country after Maruti Suzuki Celerio.
The price of Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 facelift hasn't been disclosed yet, but the approximate range will be between INR 3 – 4 Lac. The car will be launched during the end of the current year, that is in November or December 2014 and the main competitors of the car will be Hyundai small cars, Datsun go and its own cousin Maruti Suzuki Celerio as well.
