As we informed you recently that Maruti Suzuki has commenced the production for its S Cross in Gurgaon and now, there is are presumptions that this crossover will reach at the Indian shores next month. According to the market reports, the vehicle has been seen while testing with superb rear windshield, including 'ABS' sticker and 'Z' badge on the bootlid. The sticker is hinting that ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), will be equipped in this 'Z' variant. Its production version is expected to receive halogen headlights, which will be dissimilar to the officially revealed model. A dual slat grille, skid guards and fog lights might be available on this most awaited vehicle.
For the European markets, the S Cross measures 4.3 metres of length, 1.765 metres of width, 1.575 metres of height and 2.6 metres of wheelbase. Inside, this product from Maruti Suzuki will be inspired by the Swift hatchback and seems to be offered with Maruti's SmartPlay infotainment, steering mounted controls, dual zone climate control, navigation system, rear AC vents and keyless entry comprising an engine engine starter button.
Apart from the ABS, the runabout will also include dual airbags and an Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD). Power will come from the Fiat sourced 1.6 litre Multijet diesel engine, which will have an impressive capacity to produce the maximum outputs of 120 bhp and 320 Nm.
A 6-speed manual transmission will be available to transmit the churned out the produced power to the front wheels of this car. The Maruti Suzuki S Cross is likely to be priced between INR 8 Lac to INR 11 Lac and will take on the likes of the Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta and Nissan Terrano.
