Maruti Suzuki, India’s top selling cars brand has discreetly added a limited edition model for its Swift hatchback in Indian lineup. It is believed that the launch of the Swift limited edition will helps the carmaker in boosting up Swift sales. This limited edition Swift is being provided in both petrol and diesel variants. The price for the petrol trim is INR 5,44,794 and to own a diesel limited edition Swift you have to spend INR 6,39,663. The price sticker of mentioned variants makes believe that they are LXI optional (O) variant based models.
If the differences of this limited edition Swift from standard Swift are considered, the model in question is an evolved trim only at cosmetic and added features front. While, mechanically, it continues to share the same engine options to propel.

Well, the modifications on the limited edition Swift are not officially revealed by the carmaker. Yet we are expecting a host of changes which include limited edition sticker job and badging, black film on A and B Pillars, silver front fog lamp bezel, full wheel caps, passenger side airbag and stereo with radio and CD player. Other than this, a rear parking sensor might also be witnessed with the special edition model.
Underneath the front end, the Swift limited edition petrol variant will get the propelling power from a 1.2-litre petrol engine that is claimed to generate the maximum power of 85bhp and 114Nm peak torque. On the other hand, the diesel variant will move with the aids of a 1.3-litre diesel engine that is capable of churning out 74bhp of power and 190Nm torque. Both the powertrains are being offered with a common five-speed manual transmission.
