Maruti Suzuki has launched its much-awaited next-generation Wagon R today in India. It has been launched with a starting price of Rs 4.19 Lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Before its launch only, Maruti started accepting the bookings. It is built on 5th-generation Heartect platform of Suzuki which is longer and wider than the present one. Maruti Suzuki is offering seven variants to choose and the highest-spec model costs Rs 5.69 Lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
Given below is the list of seven variants which the Maruti Suzuki is offering on new Wagon R and all its prices (all prices ex-showroom, New Delhi)-
Lookwise, the new Maruti Suzuki Wagon R still has the same boxy design language. The front of the new Wagon R has matte black grille, lower bumper and upgraded tall headlamps. The car also gets the same floating roof design as of the Swift and the Ertiga.

Internally, the new Wagon R gets a steering-mounted audio controls and a large touchscreen infotainment system. The car is more spacious as it gets more shoulder room and legroom at the back and also gets the two-tone interiors.
The new Wagon R is powered with the same 1.0-litre 3-Cylinder K-Series petrol powertrain which churns out 67 bhp of maximum power and 90 Nm of maximum torque. The new hatchback is also powered with a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder K12 powertrain which churns out 82 bhp of maximum power and 113 Nm of maximum torque.
There will be seven variants of the new Maruti Suzuki Wagon R from which four will have AGS automatic gearbox of Maruti- LXi 1.0L, VXi 1.0L, VXi AGS 1.0L, VXi 1.2L, VXi AGS 1.2L, ZXi 1.2L and ZXi AGS 1.2L. The hatchback will come in six exterior color options.
The new Maruti Suzuki Wagon R will compete with the rivals Hyundai Santro and Tata Tiago.
