As per the market reports, The upcoming premium hatchback (codenamed as YRA) from Maruti Suzuki will be arriving in the Indian market in petrol as well as diesel mill options. Its petrol variants will be powered by a 1.4 litre K-Series units that is also available in the Ciaz and the most powerful 1.2 litre engine is seen in the Swift. Coming to the oil burner version, which will be machined with the Fiat sourced 1.3 litre Multijet engine. The former petrol unit will be capable of returning the fuel efficiency over 20 km/l.
It would produce the power of 91 bhp and torque of 130 Nm, while the powerful 1.2 litre gasoline unit has been tuned to bestow the displacement of 1242 cc. Paired to a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), the 1242 cc engine will churn out the maximum power of 91 bhp and a peak torque of 118 Nm.
Design wise, the Maruti Suzuki YRA will get a chrome grille, peeled back projector headlights, wind mirror mounted turn indicators, chrome door handles with keyless entry, 16 inch multi spoke alloy wheels, a high mounted brake light, rear wiper and washer, integrated rear spoiler and bootlid with a hidden reverse camera.
Spilling the beans about Interiors, which seems to be based on an all-black theme alongside a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted audio, cruise control, centre console along silver highlights, vertical HVAC vents comprising a touchscreen entertainment system, climate control, passenger side airbag deactivation switch and heated front seats.
The car will be sold out exclusively through the Maruti's latest Nexa dealerships and will compete against the Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo and Hyundai Elite i20.
