Maruti Suzuki India Limited has released the sales chart for the April month and the results are overwhelming. The results reveal that the newly launched crossover Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has helped the automaker to boost its UV sales by 260 percent. To be noted, Vitara Brezza has received over 40,000 bookings till now. Maruti has sold over 16,044 units of UV’s like Ertiga, S-Cross, Vitara Brezza, and Gypsy.
The Vitara Brezza is Maruti’s first-ever sub-4m SUV that rivals against prominent cars like Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300. It features some modern and upmarket accessories such as an engine starter button, SmartPlay infotainment system, cruise control, inbuilt navigation, reverse parking camera, projector headlights with LED DRLs and 60:40 split rear seat.
It is available at a starting price of INR 6.99 Lakhs to INR 9.68 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), the Vitara Brezza has been priced quite competitively and marks itself as a affordable and value for money SUV in the domestic market.
Vitara Brezza comes powered by a 1.3-liter DDiS four-cylinder diesel engine which is capable of producing 90 PS and 200 Nm of peak torque. The engine is further paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Vitara Brezza is claimed to offer fuel efficiency of up to 24.3 km/l.
