Maruti Vitara Brezza Fascia Teased Ahead of its Debut

Maruti Vitara Brezza's front fascia has been recently teased by the automaker on its official website along with other social media platforms. The sub-4m SUV will be showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, which will take place in February and its launch will be held in March. The most special thing about this vehicle is that it has been developed and designed solely by Maruti, without any involvement of Suzuki. Its name is formed by combining two terms Vitara and Brezza, whereby the former is an SUV from Suzuki and the latter means "Fresh Breeze".

It will be underpinned by the XA Alpha Concept, which was presented back in 2012 at the Delhi Auto Expo, while the design will be borrowed from the iV-4 concept. The teased image highlights a large grille flanked by stylish illuminated headlamp. Moreover, a power antenna can also be seen on the roof. Other features that could be found on the exterior portions include body-colored bumper, prominent wheel arches, and floating C-Pillars.

Under the hood, there will be either a 1.2 litre K-Series petrol or a 1.3 litre DDiS diesel motor that will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Besides, a CVT could also be offered in the petrol variant. Both the categories of powertrain will offer an FWD (Front Wheel Drive) setup. The SUV will be rivaling models like Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300 and being a premium offering, it's going to be rolled out from Nexa outlets.
