Much before the scheduled debut of Maruti Vitara Brezza at the 2016 Deli Auto Expo, some images of the SUV have been leaked on the internet. Moreover, the reports have also disclosed that the model will be offered in 4 variants viz. L, V, Z and Z Plus containing 6 trims across the range namely LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi and ZDi +. All these will be packed with a 1.3 litre diesel motor, while the petrol engine will not be there initially. In case the company decides to sell the petrol variant, it will be exported from outside the country.
From outside, it is fitted with several up-market and superior features like giant bumper, bold grille with aluminium highlight, round fog lamps, wide air dam, faux skid plate, projector headlamps integrated with LED DRLs, blackened A-Pillar and 16-inch alloys. It also gets square-shaped wheel arches along with some body cladding that runs along its wheelbase. The top spec in the lineup will get a double tone exterior paint shade whereby the roof and exterior rear view mirrors get the same color job.

The interior boasts of superior quality features like Maruti SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple Car Play, cruise control, push-button start, automatic headlamps, cooled glove box, rear parking camera, power adjustable rear view mirrors, power windows, multi-function steering wheel, front arm rest and much more. Mechanically, the 1.3 litre diesel engine will be fitted under the hood mated to a manual gearbox while an AMT unit could also be offered later.
