Mercedes-Benz India introduced the powerful E-Class, the AMG E 63 S 4Matic+ in the country at Rs. 1.5 crores. It can reach from idle to 100kmph in just 3.4 seconds which makes AMG E 63 S 4Matic+ top-of-the-line E-class. It is faster than the recently launched the AMG GT R. It will compete against the BMW M5 in the market.
The exterior profile of the new AMG E 63 S 4Matic+ is maintained as the standard E-Class by the company. It gets updated front bumper and new AMG Panamericana radiator grille. Further, it takes slightly wider wheel arches, sporty exhaust setup, larger air intakes, matte-black 20-inch alloy wheels, diffuser-look inserts to a rear apron, silver chrome on the rear apron, and two bright chrome-plated dual tailpipe trim on an exhaust system.
The AMG E 63 S 4Matic+ is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine generating 603bhp of power and 850Nm of torque. It is able to touch a top speed of 249kmph, along with the AMG Driver\'s package, the car only touches to 300bhp. The engine is mated to a 9-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch transmission running on the all-wheel-drive system.
The Drift Mode feature is an electromechanically operated coupling that works as a link between the rear axle and the front axle. It measures continuously as per the input and driving conditions and the drift mode comes in light by its own. In the \'Race\' drive program, you can activate the drift mode with shifting the paddles, in a situation when ESP is off and the transmission is set to manual mode. With drift mode, the AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ works as a pure rear-wheel-drive machine. Further, the mode continues until the driver deactivates it.
