Mercedes-Benz C250d Launched in India at INR 44.36 Lakh

The Renowned German luxury carmaker, Mercedes-Benz has launched a powerful C-Class saloon named C250d in the Indian market. The C250d comes with a price tag of ₹ 44.36 lakh(Ex-showroom Pune). The said model will soon join the existing C-Class lineup C200 (petrol), the C220d (diesel) and the top-variant C63 AMG. The C250d comes with added package such as LED headlamps,17” 5-twin spoke alloy wheels, ambient lighting, and Active Parking Assist.

Under the hood, C220d wears a 4-cylinder, 2.1-litre diesel engine that produces 204hp of maximum power output and 500Nm of peak torque. Besides, holding a powerful powermill, the saloon is capable of sprinting 0-100kmph in just 6.6-seconds. Mercedes - Benz also claims that the sedan follows all the emission regulations and turns out with magnificent results such as 60% below the stipulated particulate matter limit and 30% below the stipulated NOX limits. ARAI approved fuel economy is claimed to be 19.71 km/l.

The C250d will be manufactured and assembled locally at the automaker’s facility in Chakan, Pune. Mr.Roland Folger, MD and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India states that, “We always presented the best of our products and services to our elite patrons in the shortest possible lead time. The overwhelming response for the new C-Class drove us to commence the local manufacturing of the C 250 d simultaneously with its introduction in India. This key step is not merely a reflection of our localization strategy, but also underscores our unsurpassed commitment of driving value for our customers. We are confident that the local production of the C 250 d, will create high customer interest with additional value proposition and increased availability.”

The C-Class C250d saloon rivals against the prominent models like the Audi A4, BMW 3-Series, the Volvo S60 / S60 Cross Country, and the Jaguar XE.
