Considering the market news of last few days, we can make a conclusion that the German auto giant, Mercedes is taking a huge interest in the Indian car market. Currently, the company has launched GLS SUV in the market that is a flagship version of the GL-Class. Moreover, a news had also been reported earlier of the upcoming India-bound GLC SUV, which is set to be launched on June 2, 2016. For now, the carmaker has imported another variant badged with C300 Cabriolet in the country for homologation process that has been showing its imminent launch.

As an entry-level sedan, it was revealed at the recently conclude 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Although, details of the India-based variant is not out at the moment, but it could be integrated with some of the similar features as the C-Class sedan. As the convertible, it has a canvas roof that can complete the process of brought up and down in 20 seconds at speeds up to 49 kmph.
When it comes to the powertrain, it gets two engine options that have been assigned as per their trim level. Starting with the base model, which will be powered by a 2.0-litre, turbocharged 4 cylinder engine that generates a power of 241 Bhp and a torque of 320 Nm. The unit also has two transmission choices to send the power at wheels – a 9G-TRONIC automatic as standard and 4MATIC AWD facility as an option.

The AMG version will get propelled by a 3.0-litre twin turbocharged, 6 cylinder V line in a mill that makes out a huge power of 362 Bhp and a massive torque of 520.6 Nm. The only 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission comes attached with this engine. Along with all the regular and advanced features, the India bound C300 Cabriolet could be showcased at the Indian car showroom by the end of this year.
