Mercedes-Benz India is ready to bring the new variant of the E-Class sedan to the Indian market on February 24. The Edition E significantly boats about the German automaker’s glorious 25 years in India. The company has officially completed its 25 years on the Indian soil. Today, the company has established a full fledged operation across major cities of the country with its 83 dealerships in count.
The interesting fact is that Mercedes-Benz joined hands with Tata Motors in 1996 and started assembling the Mercedes E-Class in India. The E-class has been doing a good business and boasts about being one of the highest selling luxury sedan in the country. This luxury sedan is still a hot pick among the executive class. It gives a tough competition to rivals like BMW 5 Series and Audi A6.
In the recent years, Mercedes-Benz has appeared as a valued automobile maker in the country. According to the sources, the company has launched about 15 new cars in 2015 and they are planning to launch more products in the coming years. “The are also expanding their business by opening new dealerships in the country. Recently, the company inaugurated its second dealership under Trinity Motors based out in the Pune region.
The automaker is excited for the launch of the new E-class in the Indian market. It claims that the new model will be far better than the existing models. The Mercedes E-Class is available with four engine options, the E200, powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine, the E250 CDI comes with the 2143cc turbo-diesel, the E350 CDI gets a turbocharged V6 oil-burner and the E63 AMG offers a 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol mill.
